Can scientists finally decode fire? Freethink

Fire began before mankind ever existed, and yet there’s still plenty we don’t understand about how fire actually works. Scientists are still arguing over questions like, what makes a fire spread faster when the wind blows, and why do fires burn faster when they go uphill? For all that we don’t know, what we do know is that the model we use to determine how quickly a fire will spread is over 50 years old.
