Pest Management

More than 450 non-native forest insects are established in the United States, and many of them threaten economic and social benefits of forests in rural and urban areas. Because cities in the Northeastern and North Central United States have historically been entry points for invasive pests, the Northern Research Station has a long history of research on the biology and ecology of invasive pests and on methods for control and eradication.
