National Resource Use Monitoring - Data Downloads

The NRUM Data Download allows users to access files that contain data from both the Timber Products Output (TPO) and Harvest Utilization (HU) studies, combined with FIA inventory data and residential firewood estimates derived from the U.S. Department of Energy residential energy consumption survey. In this manner, NRUM provides a full accounting of inventory removals at the state and county level. 

These data (provided in xlsx format) are the most disaggregated state and county level data publicly available, allowing users to produce estimates of roundwood products, logging residue, mill residue, residential fuelwood, and other removals at the state and county level. 

NOTE: The NRUM Data Download currently contains data for states processed through our National Database and covers current and historical information. Refer to the spreadsheet for more information. Data for more states and years will be added as they become available and as resources permit.
