Indigenous Fire Stewardship, Partnerships & Socio-Ecological Resilience
Dr. Frank Lake’s presentation focuses on Forest Service Research and Management Partnerships in Northern California regarding restoration forestry, pyro-silviculture, hazardous fuel treatments, and opportunities to expand tribal engagement for Indigenous Fire Stewardship. It features research on tribally important forest resources, how indigenous knowledge and western science are being used to inform management strategies for climate adaption and in support of wildland fire management.
