Ecosystem services metrics in the US Forest Service: Water and watershed health

The National Ecosystem Services Strategy Team (NESST) is a cross-deputy Forest Service collaborative that supports the integration of ecosystem services into Forest Service programs and operations. Through a series of webinars, NESST will explore the current knowledge about ecosystem services and their role as performance metrics – in terms of measuring, predicting, and valuing the outcomes of management actions.
We invite you to participate in the initial webinar on metrics for water quality and watershed health, led by Travis Warziniack (Research Economist, RMRS). We will discuss common measures of economic and cultural values around water and how the Forest Service can use those measures to assess performance and better communicate impact to stakeholders.
