Primary Features
Excellent example of sage-grassland communities on granitic soils. The trapezoidal exclosure was established in 1930, prior to which it was heavily grazed. In 1929, the Forest Service planted 50 different grass selections in an area of approximately 3000 square feet, but which have not spread elsewhere within the exclosure.
