Primary Features

Located in the subalpine forest zone (6000-9000 ft.) typical of western Montana mountain ranges, these forests are dominated by mixtures of subalpine fir, Engelmann spruce, lodgepole pine, whitebark pine, alpine larch, and Douglas-fir at its upper limit.
