Abstract

The two National Forests of Minnesota accommodate slightly over one-tenth of the private pleasure boaters in the State. There are more private boaters in the Superior National Forest than in the Chippewa. Boaters withing each forest come predominantly from the local area. Of the boaters from outside the local area, one-half come from the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area.
