These projects are collaborative efforts among agency scientists and managers, Tribes, states, academia, and other partner organizations. Through these projects, Research and Development scientists are helping to develop new technologies, data, and information that will improve fuels treatment and wildfire mitigation activities, enhance our ability to restore forests, grasslands, and watersheds, and lead to wood product innovations. Each project contributes to actionable science that generates tangible results focused on improving forest health, ecosystems, and the health and safety of communities.
