Increasing the trustworthiness of research results: the role of computers in qualitative text analysis

Abstract

By using computer packages designed for qualitative data analysis a researcher can increase trustworthiness (i.e., validity and reliability) of conclusions drawn from qualitative research results. This paper examines trustworthiness issues and therole of computer software (QSR's NUD*IST) in the context of a current research project investigating the social benefits of urban greening projects.
