Abstract

Generations of travelers who select New England as a primary destination are examined over time from the years of 1979 through 1996 and the analysis serves to update an earlier review of generational travel patterns of the region (Warnick, 1994). Changes in travel patterns are noted by overall adjusted annual change rates by demographic and geographic regions of residency. Generations, as defined by Strauss and Howe (1991), are then reviewed as the generation cohort ages over time during this 18 year period.
