Abstract

A study of residue on five woods landings in West Virginia showed that short lengths, poor quality, and low volumes are obstacles to utilization of this material. Short lengths and dirt accumulation would also pose serious problems for conversion to chips. Some local use for firewood and specialty products is possible.
