Abstract

Wood and bark from 72 trees of Pinus glabra Walt. were evaluated with a Perkin-Elmer DSC-1B scanning calorimeter; a total of 6,696 observations was made in the temperature range 60 to 140^oC. The samples were from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama - the major commercial range of the species.
