Abstract
Fuels management programs are designed to reduce risks to communities and to improve and maintain ecosystem health. The International Association of Wildland Fire initiated the 1st Fire Behavior and Fuels Conference to address development, implementation, and evaluation of these programs. The focus was on how to measure success. Over 500 participants from several countries convened in Portland, Oregon, to discuss approaches to fuels management and to learn from 158 oral and poster presentations.Titles contained within Fuels Management-How to Measure Success: Conference Proceedings
