Abstract

The aerial photo volume tables in this report are tools to be used in obtaining better timber inventories. Volume estimates based on tables such as these, properly field checked, are generally cheaper than ground cruises of comparable accuracy. Photo volume tables also permit rough volume estimates to be made from aerial photos alone when limited time, bad weather, or inaccessibility precludes field work.
