Abstract

Radiotelemetry has become and important tool in studies of animal behavior, ecology, management, and conservation. From the first decades following the introduction of radio transmitters, radiotelemetry emerged as a prominent and critically important tool in wildlife science for the study of physiology, animal movements (migration, dispersal, and home range), survival, animal abundance, and resource selection.
