Abstract

In 1937 the Fraser Experimental Forest was established in the heart of the Central Rocky Mountains near the Continental Divide 65 miles north and west of Denver. This 36-square-mile outdoor research laboratory is well suited for the study of pressing problems related to water yield from high-elevation forests and alpine areas. (Originally published in 1952; revised in 1960).
