Abstract

This study examined the attitudes and preferences of visitors toWashington, D.C., one of the top tourism cities in the United States. Results of a visitor survey conducted at two sites show that respondents have a highly positive attitude towards the city's urban forest and that their appreciation of the urban forest has a positive influence on their experiences as visitors. In addition, this study used conjoint analysis to explore tourists' preferences regarding the appearance of urban forests.
