Abstract

Banding soil herbicides instead of broadcasting did not reduce the amounts required to kill hardwoods. Bromacil and picloram gave acceptable kills at rates of 10 pounds per acre. At a 5-pound rate, picloram gave marginal kills and bromacil was unsatisfactory. All treatments with fenuron were ineffective.
