Abstract

TREEVAL is a microcomputer model that calculates tree or stand values and volumes based on product prices, manufacturing costs, and predicted product recovery. It was designed as an aid in evaluating management regimes. TREEVAL calculates values in either of two ways, one based on optimized tree bucking using dynamic programming and one simulating the results of user-specified bucking.
