Wildfire managers and agency leaders often want to know where wildfires are likely to occur and how intense they may be. To meet this need, Forest Service Research and Development’s Fire Modeling Institute has produced and updated the Wildfire Hazard Potential map since 2012. This fact sheet describes the Wildfire Hazard Potential map and associated datasets, and provides information on how to access the data.

The Fire Effects Information System (FEIS) just got a makeover! The FEIS has been supporting fire and natural resource managers since the late 1980s, and now it has moved and improved. Its new flow and functionality make it even easier to find information about individual species, ecosystems, and their relationships with fire.
