  • What's going on in America's forests?

    Monday, 11/16/2026, 11am – 12:30pm MST

Innovative research can inform management practices that can address changing conditions.

  • What's stressing our forests out? Insects, disease and other factors

    Tuesday, 11/17/2026, 11am – 12:30pm MST

Native or endemic insects and diseases thin out unhealthy trees and maintain appropriate forest density. However, shifts to this careful balance can result in levels of mortality exceeding the norm.

  • Increasing forest resilience to fire, drought and other stressors

    Wednesday, 11/18/2026, 11am – 12:30pm MST

Trees are often resilient to regular, routine weather events. However, the growing frequency and intensity of once-monumental events has stressed their ability to regenerate themselves.

  • Boosting forests' ability to bounce back

    Thursday, 11/19/2026, 11am – 12:30pm MST

Scientists and managers are working together to boost forest's abilities to grow back and thrive in future conditions.

  • Managing in the face of change: Conserving important forest values
