The Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) program supplies annual updates that provide brief overviews of forest resources in each state based on inventory conducted by the FIA program (often in cooperation with state partners). This interactive reporting tool allows users to quickly and easily get key facts about each state's forests, including total forested area, timber volume, the most common tree species in the state, and more.

These brief reports are updated when new FIA data for the state is published and are available to the public. People interested in learning more details about a state can look at raw data or use other tools, such as EVALIDator, to customize analysis but these fact sheets provide a great, up-to-date summary of forest conditions across the United States.
