Primary Features

The term "basin" refers to a nearly level area having a series of beaver dam impoundments located at the upper reaches of Basin Creek.  Willows (Salix spp.) and sedges (Carex spp.) dominate the basin.  Adjacent forests are dominated by mixtures of Engelmann spruce (Picea enqelmannii) and lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta).
