Primary Features

The Bowen Gulch RNA includes the largest contiguous area of old-growth Engelmann spruce-subalpine fir forest in Colorado within the complete watershed of Bowen Creek. The headwaters of this drainage has a large cirque basin bounded by alpine peaks.
