Primary Features

Representative of the interior (Arizona) chaparral, it supports a variety of chaparral plant communities within rugged topography of northeast trending drainages. These communities are largely dominated by scrub live oak (Quercus turbinella). Isolated stands of Arizona pine forest occur along the ridge tops. Terrain within the RNA is very steep and slopes may exceed 80%.
