Primary Features

The Campo RNA encompasses a small triangular area of shortgrass plains formed by the intersection of a highway and two rail lines, but it includes pristine shortgrass prairie, primarily Grama-Buffalograss. The area has never been plowed and never been part of a grazing allotment, but it was once used as a holding pen for livestock.
