Primary Features

The vegetation is dominated by Abies grandis/Acer glabrum with minor amounts of the Pseudotsuga menziesii/Physocarpus malvaceus in mid- to late-seral, old-growth forest condition and Pseudotsuga menziesii/Symphoricarpos oreophilus habitat types.  Both the Acer glabrum and Physocarpus malvaceus phases of Abies grandis/Acer glabrum h.t. are present within the natural area. The RNA is within the southern extent of the range of Abies grandis and the northern extent of Abies concolor on the Idaho Batholith.
