Primary Features
Upper elevation, diverse vegetaton in relatively undisturbed condition. Douglas-fir in the upper Elgrove Creed drainage were logged approximately 80 years prior to RNA establishment after which aspen regenerated sprinkled with old-growth Douglas-fir. The area has been closed to grazing since about 1970. In addition to aspen the plant associations consist of limber pine, mountain mahogany, Osterhout sagebrush, and low sagebrush.
