Primary Features
The Hell Canyon RNA is a large area of high peaks, alpine tundra, subalpine grasslands, many lakes, subalpine forest of Engelmann spruce, subalpine fir, and lodgepole pine, as well as sagebrush steppe and small aspen groves at lower elevations. The RNA is on the west side of the Front Range in Colorado. Several complete watersheds are contained within this RNA, which is contiguous with the Paradise Park RNA in Rocky Mountain National Park.
