The Hermosa RNA Includes an elevational gradient along Hermosa Creek, characterized by highly dissected mountain topography and sedimentary geology and features old growth forests, Colorado cutthroat trout, alpine tundra, spruce-fir forests, aspen forests, ponderosa pine forests, mixed conifer forests, and mountain shrublands.
