Primary Features

The North St. Vrain RNA includes approximately six roadless miles of the North St. Vrain River, a major Front Range drainage, as well as south-facing slopes of grassland, shrubland and ponderosa pine woodland. North-facing slopes are primarily Douglas-fir forest. The area contains old-growth ponderosa pine and rare plant species and is exemplary of foothills and montane riparian shrublands and riparian forest.
