The Sheep Creek RNA includes the high quality riparian vegetation of Sheep Creek and montane forest, grassland, and shrubland on adjoining slopes as well as outstanding examples of foothills riparian vegetation along a perennial creek, including excellent examples of riparian plant associations known only from Colorado's Front Range.
