Abstract

A panel survey of golfers, skiers and windsurfers was conducted using mail questionnaires which were distributed three times over the course of a calendar year; in-season, off-season, and preseason. Respondents' levels of enduring activity involvement were measured using Laurent and Kapferer's (1985) Involvement Profile scale. No support was found for the hypothesis that panel dropouts would be less involved with the activity than would those who completed all three data collection phases.
