Abstract
This is the first in a new series of reports on forest areas and timber volumes in the State of West Virginia. It also shows how fast the timber in the State is growing, how much is being cut, and in general how good it is. This report is a product of the forest survey of the Northeast, carried on by the Northeastern Forest Experiment Station as part of the Nation-wide forest survey being made by the Forest Ssrvice, U.S. Department of Agriculture. NOTE: this document was scanned from a personal copy and contains hand-written notes.
