Abstract

A practical guide to the silvicultural treatment of spruce-fir stands for timber production in New England and New York. Both evenaged and uneven-aged management are considered, covering both the establishment of new stands and the culture of existing stands. Includes a set of prescriptions describing specific treatments for a range of stand conditions and management objectives.
