- We have determined the X-ray crystallographic protein structure of endo-1,4-β-xylanase (EX) A from Anaerobacterium chartisolvens (AchXyn30A), a homologue of the recent biochemically characterized glycoside hydrolase family 30, subfamily 12 (GH30_12) EX from Acetivibrio clariflavus (AcXyn30B). - Riparian zones are important ecotones, integrating terrestrial and aquatic functions that support ecosystem productivity. A key ecological role of riparian zones is the production of large conifers that eventually enter the stream and provide important habitat complexity within the freshwater ecosystem. - The COVID-19 pandemic introduced unprecedented volatility into the US manufactured wood products market, with the price of softwood lumber nearly quadrupling within a year, reaching its highest level since 1995.
