- The Sleepers River Research Watershed (SRRW) in Danville, Vermont, USA, was established in 1957 by the U.S Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (ARS). - Past studies on concentration-discharge (C-Q) relationships have focused on shortterm or low-temporal resolution data. While advancing understanding of catchment processes, these studies provided limited insight on catchment response over time or to climate change. - Maples (the genus Acer) represent important and beloved forest, urban, and ornamental trees distributed throughout the Northern hemisphere. They exist in a diverse array of native ranges and distributions, across spectrums of tolerance or decline, and have varying levels of susceptibility to biotic and abiotic stress. - Inter-basin water transfer (IBT) is widely used to mitigate water shortage at the cost of compromising water availability in water-exporting regions. - A new and devastating disease, rapid ohia death (ROD), in Hawaii led to a state quarantine that regulates interisland transport of ohia wood and plant material to prevent spread of the causal pathogens.
