The Stewardship Mapping and Assessment Project (STEW-MAP) is a framework for communities, governments, land management agencies, and nonprofits to create a partnership mapping tool.

The Pacific Northwest (PNW) Research Station generates and communicates impartial knowledge to help people understand and make informed choices about natural resource management and sustainability. We are a leader in the scientific study of natural resources, and our research addresses pressing topics ranging from climate change and wildfire, to water, air quality, and socioeconomics. Our science findings benefit the stewardship of forests and grasslands by informing federal, state, tribal, and private landowners, managers, and policymakers.

Resident Scholars/Scientists (2 weeks to 3 months stay)Please submit the Urban Field Station Proposal Form to the UFS Coordinator at UFS@parks.nyc.gov. In this form, applicants will need to specify their lab, equipment, office and other basic space requirements, in addition to information on project collaborators, funding, research goals and expected outcomes.
