Primary Features

The RNA contains areas of open grassland, blueberry-sweet fern, aspen (Populus sp.), mixed hardwoods, jack pine (Pinus banksiana), and a few red pine (Pinus resinosa) seed trees.

Annual Precipitation

Average annual rainfall ranges from 28 to 34 inches (71 - 86 cm).

Geology and Soils

Soil is sandy with a few small, sandy clay deposits. The soil can be classified as G-10 pitted outwash.

Aquatic Features

No swamps, lakes or streams.
