What do you need to get started?
A list of southern pine trees with species, height, diameter and height to base of live crown.
Outputs
The volume of a single tree or a list of tree volumes in several different units
Strengths
Several models were developed that use taper functions. These functions are too unwieldy to be be used on their own so this program applies them to calculate volume in a variety of units.
Limitations
It only works with the southern pine species of loblolly pine, slash pine, and longleaf pine. It also requires height to base of live crown of all trees to be most accurate
