- Rapid ‘ōhiʻa death (ROD), caused by fungal pathogens Ceratocystis lukuohia and Ceratocystis huliohia, is devastating ʻōhiʻa (Metrosideros polymorpha), the keystone forest tree species of Hawaiʻi.
