Research Studies on Fuel Treatment Effectiveness
The FERA team pursues opportunities to conduct research where pre-wildfire data was collected, a requirement to compare prefire conditionss with postfire conditions.
Evaluating the effectiveness of various forest and range fuel types is essential to effectively and efficiently managing forests to sustain natural resources and ecosystems over time, while simultaneously reducing the fire hazard to human developments.

Mortality Reconsidered: Testing and extending models of fire-induced mortality across the United States.
