- We describe demographic processes and species interactions that infl uence Coastal Cutthroat Trout (Oncorhynchus clarkii clarkii) in small streams that are part of an eff ort designed to evaluate forest harvest impacts in the Trask Watershed, an industrial forest located in northwest Oregon, USA. - Th e Demonstration of Ecosystem Management Options (DEMO) project is a large, interdisciplinary study designed to test the biological and silvicultural eff ects of green-tree retention in Douglas-fi r (Pseudotsuga menziesii) forests. - Commercial matsutake mushroom (Tricholoma magnivelare) harvest in the Pacific Northwest is common in Lodgepole Pine (Pinus contorta) forests.
